It is a quick, light, fun read, and yes, well-written. She rose to prominence on the Bravo reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills 2011-15. The wild Bravolebrity promises a no holes barred look at her life, love, and crazy antics, and there is no doubt that readers will be treated to plenty of Brandi's brash humor and jaw-dropping one-liners. I want someone to wake up with each morning, to take out the trash on garbage day, and to care deeply about me. It makes her so easy to relate to.
In this age of over-sharing, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Since November 4, 2013, she started a weekly podcast show called Brandi Glanville Unfiltered in which she discusses her life, culture as well as holds interviews with bog personalities. She assigns fake names to them throughout the book. In fact, like Brandi herself, I too enjoyed taking a step away from discussing her ex-husband and the impact the divorce had on her life. Live be real, even if it means being inappropriate or crazy and learn by owning your mistakes you help yourself grow and help yourself move on and things will work out okay. Quick and easy and was perfect while doing the tasks of the day.
In addition, she also worked for Chanel, Giorgio Armani, and Gucci. I think I just feel sorry for her. She worked with big names like Gucci, Chanel and Giorgio Armani. I didn't find it as good as her first book but did enjoy it overall. Just like Brandi herself, Drinking and Dating is sexy, funny, and eyebrow-raising. She makes her normally honest self seem stupid and contrived. What is irritating is trying to guess who the guys are! I agree with everyone else about the overuse of hashtags, too. This book, however, is just not great. I lived there over ten years myself. That somewhat explains why I am reviewing this terrible book. Sounds like she had some difficult couple of years but she can't keep using it to make her behavior seem acceptable. In addition, she has also written two books Drinking and Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders and Drinking and Dating. Hard cover and E books first week out! I have a hard time rating this book, both of her books. Concerning in her education, there is not any information regarding her educational background.
This book felt more like a work of fiction, rather than reality. I thought it was a Chelsea Handler-esque comic's bio from the cover never judge by the cover! Brandi gives a ton of anecdotes and continues with her theme of interweaving hashtags throughout the text as if twitter truly is writing this book. Moreover, she has a pair of attractive dark brown eyes and blonde hair. At the age of 16, Elite Model Management signed her and she started to work in Europe as well as in America. A 40 something, mother of two and this book reads as if she's a 20 something, sorority girl on Spring Break. At least Bethenny Frankel had the balls to admit how ridiculous her relationship advice book was as an idea, but I'll get to that next month probably.
