Wouldn't have money to do any major repairs for a cpl weeks so. Doing plumbing repairs in your particular camping unit is a part of regular maintenance. With the pump off, you may be able to reseat it by pressing the ball in slightly and letting it snap back a few times. Be sure and turn the pressure down low on the compressor. It most likely an issue with the pressure from the city water causing a fitting to leak. If it's blown, replace it and your problem is usually solved. Let me try adding the link again in this comment.
Back to the pump which incidently ran but no progress. Hi Patty, When we were filling the water, and it was full, the hose somehow was lodged in and we heard and explosion. The same goes for the shower and bath fixtures. Hopefully, these will be my last questions. We had a problem when attempting to use the water system after storage: First, I filled the holding tank half full with water and started the pump.
It is hooked into our well water and our septic. This should stop the clanging sounds. So I dont even know were it is to look at it. Pump fails to repair book: possible to confirm. Do feel free to ask more questions if needed.
We thought that if the valve had failed that it would send the water to both the interior faucets and the fresh water tank. Manufacturers, looking to cut costs, usually use a white tube for both hot and cold water. Now when I turn it on, it just pumps water back out the exterior fresh water connection where we connect our hose. There's is a large black membrain stretched across the underbelly of the unit so I cant see up. The last thing we do is empty the outside drain.
There is always a risk of fire when working with electrical wiring. I saw rust all around the perimeter of the inside of one basement area. I have checked and rechecked the connections in and out of the pump and I cannot tell if it is leaking air. This line doesn't run under the trailer, it runs inside the cargo area and connects to the system somewhere near the pump. Answer: The most likely cause is a bad back-flow check valve. We keep the tank closed and about every 3weeks, open the T-valve and it goes directly into the sewer.
I have a 2006 Prowler camper with slide out. Also, is it common for the pump not to come on when connected to a shore water supply? Should I try using onboard water by putting some in tank? The main problem we're addressing is that when it's set on city and all the faucets in the unit are off water still is running in to the rig. Step 1: Locate the water pump and turn it off. Is it coming out quickly with pressure or does it drip, drip. It's been at least 8 years since I have been hooked to city water. It looks to me like someone forgot to put the steps up, hit a curb and ripped the steps off and damaging the lower part of the camper. Hey its worth a try and if it doesn't re seal, water inlet check valve combinations aren't all that expensive.
I have 2015 Hawk with side dinette if that helps. Any help you can give me would be appreciated! You bring up some really good points. How can I test the plumbing and the plastic lines? If the store doesn't have a plug on hand, an inline hose valve will also work until a plug is available. The vent and fill hose use clamps. After doing lots of research on our own no dealer assistance , we are pretty convinced that the water pump is also affected.
Dry to touch I dab papertowl to see if it absorbs anyhing it did not. The ShurFlo water pump has a manual switch for operation and up until a few weeks ago after I replaced a leaking connector it worked just fine. When I turned in the water pump, water sprayed out the city water connection. Be aware that things can go wrong. I want to go from two separate dump valves to one well a double valve. Close the valve repeat in 3 weeks.
